Set Up

Have you ever felt like you were set up for failure? In Exodus 24, the Israelites agree to do everything God had commanded them in the Ten Commandments, along with the book of rules that followed (chap. 20–23). But in reality, they would never be able to keep the law perfectly. Thankfully, their future wasn’t riding on their ability to obey, but on the God who sets us up, not to fail, but to discover something better than just keeping the rules: life with him.
